Children Want Astana to Be Clean
A competition for the children of Astana Tazalyk employees has come to an end.
Ahead of International Children’s Day, the courtyard of Astana Tazalyk LLP was filled with a special atmosphere: children’s laughter, an exhibition of colorful drawings and proud parents. The company held the final event of an art competition organized for employees’ children.
The competition was announced in early May. According to the organizers, its main goal was to encourage children to care for the environment and develop a culture of cleanliness.
“We always understand that behind the work of every employee stands a family and children. Through this competition, we wanted to give special attention to the children and support their creativity,” said Symbat Kakimova, Chairwoman of the Trade Union.
More than 100 children took part in the competition, submitting over 200 drawings. Each work reflected the young artists’ understanding of cleanliness, environmental protection and the future of their city.
“In my drawing, Astana is very clean. There is no litter in the streets, and everything is in order. The city’s sanitation workers are doing their job. I want our city to remain clean in the future as well,” said Grand Prix winner Gabduali Alimansur.
The winners received special prizes. The Grand Prix winner was awarded an iPhone, while other prize winners received a game console, a bicycle and school supplies.
Parents warmly welcomed the initiative. In their view, such events help children develop not only their creativity but also a sense of social responsibility.
“At first, I was surprised that my son was drawing a picture about litter. Now, whenever he sees a bottle on the street, he suggests picking it up and putting it in a bin,” said the mother of one of the participants.
The organizers plan to make the competition an annual tradition, once again highlighting that a culture of cleanliness begins not only with adults but also with the way children see and care for the world around them.
The celebration did not end there. On the same day, the children of Astana Tazalyk employees visited the Play Ville entertainment center. More than 200 children enjoyed the celebration, spent time together and made new friends.
