Möldir Bulaq Environmental Campaign Held in Astana
The Möldir Bulaq environmental campaign was held in the capital as part of the nationwide Taza Qazaqstan initiative, launched at the initiative of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The main goal of the campaign was to identify and clean natural springs, while also promoting environmental awareness and responsibility in society.
The campaign brought together 50 employees of Astana Tazalyk LLP and 50 volunteers. A total of 100 participants joined forces to help preserve a clean and healthy environment.
During the campaign, participants cleaned a three-kilometre stretch of territory and improved the area adjacent to the river. The cleanup resulted in the removal of 57 glass jars, one bicycle wheel, more than 5,500 cigarette butts, as well as a significant amount of household waste, including plastic bottles, bags, paper waste and other litter.
The campaign demonstrated how practical action can contribute to environmental protection and the responsible use of natural resources.
It is worth noting that the volunteer movement in Kazakhstan continues to grow actively. In recent years, the number of volunteers has increased significantly, with hundreds of thousands of citizens now participating in social and environmental initiatives.
The Möldir Bulaq campaign is not only about cleaning up public spaces but also about demonstrating civic responsibility and community unity. Such initiatives help raise environmental awareness and encourage residents to take an active role in preserving nature.
