Media Competition “Taza Qazaqstan – Taza Astana” Announced to Mark Capital City Day
Astana Tazalyk LLP has announced a competition for media representatives and bloggers with a total prize fund of KZT 4 million.
The Taza Qazaqstan – Taza Astana competition is being held as part of the nationwide Taza Qazaqstan environmental campaign and the celebration of Capital City Day.
The competition aims to highlight efforts to maintain sanitary cleanliness in Astana, its outskirts and surrounding settlements, as well as waste collection and removal, including manual and mechanized cleaning of streets, roads, squares, sidewalks, driveways and other public areas.
Participants are also encouraged to cover the history, development, achievements and future prospects of Astana Tazalyk within the framework of the nationwide Taza Qazaqstan environmental initiative. Special attention should be given to the company’s employees who work every day to maintain cleanliness and order in the city, as well as to promoting the prestige of working professions as part of the Year of Working Professions.
Representatives of Kazakhstan’s media and bloggers are invited to participate.
The competition will be held in the following categories:
1) Best Television Report
2) Best Social Media Publication
3) Best Print Media Article
4) Best Online Media Publication
Entries in Kazakh or Russian published between May 15 and June 30, 2025 are eligible for submission. There is no limit on the number of entries that may be submitted by each participant.
The entries will be evaluated by an independent commission comprising experts and specialists in the city’s municipal services sector, as well as respected journalists.
The jury will evaluate entries according to the following criteria:
1) Relevance and compliance with the competition theme;
2) Depth of coverage and accuracy of the information presented;
3) Style and quality of presentation;
4) Originality of the author’s perspective.

The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Astana time.
The results of the competition will be announced on July 3–4, 2025.
The total prize fund is KZT 4 million.
