Astana Tazalyk LLP and Khabar Agency Take Part in the Taza Qazaqstan Campaign
An environmental campaign was held in Astana, organized by Khabar Agency in cooperation with Astana Tazalyk LLP. The event was held as part of the nationwide Taza Qazaqstan environmental campaign and was dedicated to the Year of Working Professions and the 30th anniversary of Khabar Agency.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two organizations, marking an important step towards fostering environmental awareness, strengthening social responsibility and promoting respect for nature.
According to Kemelbek Oishybayev, Chairman of Khabar Agency:
“The Taza Qazaqstan campaign, initiated by the Head of State, is more than just an environmental campaign — it is a nationwide movement that raises awareness and brings people together. Protecting nature is no longer a matter of choice but a civic responsibility. Khabar Agency is making a tangible contribution to making the capital greener. We are not simply planting trees — we are planting hope for the future. Beginning the Agency’s 30th anniversary year with such an initiative demonstrates our commitment to serving the country and its people.”
As part of the campaign, more than 4.5 million seedlings have already been planted across the country, while over 1.5 million tonnes of waste have been collected. The total number of participants has exceeded 4 million people.
The signed memorandum is also aimed at raising the prestige of working professions, particularly employees of municipal and environmental services. These professionals work every day to ensure cleanliness and comfort in cities, while their contribution often remains out of the public spotlight.
Astana Tazalyk is one of the leading companies in the sector, employing more than 2,000 people. The company operates over 500 units of specialized equipment that serve the city on a daily basis.
“This year, more than one million trees and other green plants will be planted in Astana as part of the Taza Qazaqstan campaign. We are not simply making the capital greener — we are fostering environmental awareness and teaching the younger generation to respect nature. Living in harmony with the environment is an essential necessity of modern life,” said Zamir Saginov, General Director of Astana Tazalyk LLP.
During the community cleanup event, participants planted 100 trees — 50 linden trees and 50 rowan trees — and cleaned up one of the capital’s parks. The event concluded with an environmental flash mob and a quiz, where participants had the opportunity to test their knowledge and receive commemorative prizes.
The campaign marked another significant step towards building a cleaner and more environmentally responsible Kazakhstan.
