Astana Goes Greener: Doctors, Teachers and Municipal Workers Plant Trees as Part of the Taza Qazaqstan Campaign
An environmental tree-planting campaign was held in Astana, organized by Astana Tazalyk LLP in cooperation with the city’s Vocational and Technical College and the National Coordination Center for Emergency Medicine. The event was held as part of the nationwide Taza Qazaqstan environmental campaign and marked another step towards fostering environmental awareness and improving the urban environment.
The campaign brought together representatives of various professions, including municipal workers, teachers, students, doctors and emergency medical personnel.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the three organizations. This marked an important step towards promoting environmental awareness, strengthening social responsibility and encouraging respect for nature.
Municipal workers play a particularly important role in such initiatives, as they work every day to maintain cleanliness and order throughout the city, helping to create a comfortable and safe environment for residents. Astana Tazalyk LLP is one of the leading organizations in the sector, employing more than 2,000 people and operating over 500 units of specialized equipment.
“Such initiatives contribute not only to making our city greener but also to fostering environmental awareness. When representatives of different sectors — from municipal services to healthcare and education — come together for a common cause, it helps build a new culture of social responsibility,” said Albert Yesaliyev, General Director of Astana Tazalyk LLP.
Representatives of the healthcare sector also emphasized the importance of environmental initiatives.
“A clean environment is one of the key factors in protecting public health. For the medical community, participating in such initiatives is not only a professional responsibility but also a civic duty,” said Yerzhan Adilbekov, Chairman of the Management Board of the National Coordination Center for Emergency Medicine.
Representatives of the education sector, in turn, highlighted the importance of such events in developing environmental awareness among young people.
“Such initiatives have significant educational value for students. Through practical participation, young people gain a better understanding of the importance of protecting nature and develop a responsible attitude towards the environment,” said Zhanna Baimuratova, Acting Director of the Vocational and Technical College.
As part of the event, participants planted more than 100 tree seedlings, contributing to the expansion of the capital’s green spaces and the improvement of its environmental conditions.
The nationwide Taza Qazaqstan campaign continues to gain momentum. Across the country, initiatives focused on tree planting, community cleanups and environmental education are being implemented, bringing together millions of citizens around the shared values of cleanliness and responsible care for nature.
